The JUTE story

About
Jute’s creator is Susan Beer, a traditionally trained upholsterer and furniture restoration expert.

Her experience ranges in scale from boutique-size residential work, through to larger scale commercial projects including clients such as Myer and Nike. She has collaborated and worked on a variety of projects in both Australia and Europe.

Accreditation
Susan launched Jute Upholstery in 2012. She gained her qualification via Melbourne’s Holmesglen in 2011 and her industry training at Melbourne’s much-loved Martel Upholstery.

Awards
Susan was awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Victorian Furnishing Awards in 2012.
